Youth unemployment in South Africa sits above 60% for those under 24, making Black youth the most economically vulnerable demographic in our country. The Skills Development pillar of B-BBEE — informed by the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998and the National Skills Development Strategy — is our most powerful lever against this crisis.

A Level 1 B-BBEE contributor, like Little Lots Furniture, has achieved a score of 100 points or above on the generic scorecard — representing the highest possible empowerment status and reflecting a deep, verified commitment to transformation across every pillar of the framework. Our Level 1 status is confirmed annually by an accredited, SANAS-registered Verification Agency.
